Jeffrey Kosmacher has held communications, community relations, and fundraising roles for such leading organizations as The Christian Science Monitor, World Learning/School for International Training, Omega Institute, The Progressive, and Deutsche Welle, including more than a decade as the Director of Media Relations and Public Affairs at Vassar College. Kosmacher has written for such publications as Hudson Valley,Washington Report on the Middle East, and Rural Intelligence, and was a Taconic Press columnist. His longtime participation with the regional community development agency Hudson River Housing, including as the secretary of its board, prompted Kosmacher to recently complete a Master’s in community development policy and practice from the University of New Hampshire. He was a Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress fellow, and earned a Bachelor’s in political science from the University of Wisconsin. Kosmacher is also the board secretary of the regional nonprofit TRANSART, and serves on the advisory committee for its annual Jazz in the Valley festival.
